Apply Now for Lincoln County Head Start!

Now is the time to secure your spot in Head Start for the upcoming 2013-2014 school year! Applications are accepted at Head Start’s Newport, Toledo, and Lincoln City sites on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but may be picked up any time at any of the sites outside the front doors.

While Head Start receives applications throughout the year, the clock is ticking quickly towards the start of the school year, and applications should be completed as soon as possible. Please encourage your friends and family to apply now!

"Many families understand that getting their applications in early gives their child a better chance of being accepted. It also gives them a chance to see the sites with their child. Children love to see the school, the classrooms, and the beautiful murals on the walls. They get excited about school, and enjoy their visits so much that they don't want to leave!” says Suzanne Miller, CSC Head Start Director.

For more information, please call or visit Head Start’s Lincoln City locations:

Head Start is a nationwide program that supports school readiness for low-income children by improving their language, reading, math, science, and social/emotional development. The program also includes health, nutrition, and other services. Family partnerships are developed to support parents as they identify and meet their own goals, nurture the development of their children and build trusting relationships between parents and staff.

These communications tools can be used to make announcements, acknowledge donors and volunteers, post videos and slideshows–whatever we want to share with our online community.

There are 3 ways to deliver info to stakeholders:

  1. The blog itself, which can be linked to our current website
  2. Email news blasts (blog articles sent via email as eNewsletters)
  3. RSS Feed (subscribers read in Google Reader or other feed reader, can also send posts to Facebook and Twitter)
We're excited about these communication tools and look forward to both your input and feedback for continuing improvement and positive information-sharing.

If you have agency/program information you'd like posted on this blog, please send full text and/or photos and videos, ideas, or suggestions to Janet Hessel and she will take the next steps.
